The Bridge Between Rec & Comp.
When it comes to player development, simple is always better. The same goes for finding the right place for your kid to grow.
Our academy is designed for players who want more than recreational soccer, but who didn't make a comp team. Our core focus is simple, effective player development offered at an affordable price.

The Training Format
Simple, effective player development comes down to high-touch training. Our sessions focus on what actually works:
-
Rondos: Quick decision-making and first touch under pressure.
-
Small-Sided Games (1v1 to 4v4): Ball touches and build confidence in tight spaces.
-
Structured Scrimmages: Put newly learned skills directly into game action.
More touches. Better decisions. Faster development.
Alternative To Comp.
Most comp. teams cost around $3,000 per year and that's before travel expenses, tournaments, and other fees. The academy is only $720 per year for 6 months of training and development.
FAQs
Does the academy play in a competitive league?
Not right now. Our focus is strictly on high-repetition practice and skill development. However, we may coordinate local scrimmages in the future.
What if my player can't make a session? Are there make up sessions?
Because of our small group sizes and fixed schedule, we do not offer make-up sessions for missed practices.
Do I have to commit to an entire season or year?
Nope. You simply commit month-to-month during our active seasons (Fall and Spring).
Is this a tryout or select team?
No! This is a development-focused academy, not a select club team. There are no tryouts.

I'm Kip Critchlow. I was four year starter at BYU and have over 25 years experience playing and training soccer players.
The KC Soccer Academy is the step between rec and comp. It's a place where players can actually develop without the club politics and pressure.
